My Summer Update 2014

Summer Update:

Hey everyone.  Thanks for all your support and prayers throughout the years.  Would not be where I am without your investment in my life.  Sending you this email so you can continue to pray and hopefully be encouraged.

We serve a faithful and loving God!

-Sam P.

Here are some updates of whats going on with me this summer:

 One Love Skate Ministry:
3 Cool Things happening lately (w/prayer requests):

1.) We plan to have 2 One Love Decks Going To a Restricted Country
    - Thanks Pastor Chris & Pastor Bong from Hawaii Pacific Baptist Convention for helping us get the One Love boards to a mission team leaving from Oahu soon.
At this time we're intentionally not sharing the name or the country of the mission team through e-mail.

Prayer Request: One day, it would be awesome to give One Love "Gospel Boards" to missionaries all over the world to help them share Jesus in closed countries.

2.)  Yesterday, Josh and I met with County Parks & Rec Directors at Kahului Skatepark

Thumper set up a meeting for us, and Dane, Sean, Keoni & Kaeo are the names of the county workers. They wanted to talk with us because the county is frustrated that skatepark gets ruined with graffiti and vandalism.

Dane said the county appreciates what we do, and he asked that we will continue to be a positive presence at the skatepark and help them clean up the graffiti and vandalism.

We will continue to do a monthly event and be at Kahului skatepark at least once a week.

Prayer Request: that One Love will lead county sponsored events at all 5 of the skateparks on Maui, and that the community will see a difference in skateboard culture because of Jesus.

3.) One Love Skate: Hana Camp: Mid July Trip

Sam and I are excited to take a group of students to Hana for a super fun skate trip!

Please pray for safety, salvations, & spiritual growth during Hana Trip.

Please pray for Sam as he raises financial support for his upcoming mission trip to Australia.

Visit www.OneLoveSkateOutreach.com or www.OneLoveMaui.org if you want to check out more pics from Hana and more details about the upcoming trip.

Thanks for taking the time to keep up with One Love Skate!

One Love (1 John 4:9),

p.s. We're still praying hard for a person w/tax knowledge & book-keeping skills who can help us move forward and figure out how to sell One Love merchandise to support the mission of One Love.

(Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you can think of who might have a heart to help us get the financial part of this mission rolling more efficiently).

*End of July: Public Intermediate School Media Productions 8th grade class/ Kona YWAM Media Productions Partnership:

1)We will be taking 10 students and two teachers to Kona exploring the YWAM Kona brand new media productions centre

2)We are planning to see what it looks like for public schools interested in media and production to learn and see what their media and productions skills can be used throughout the nations for movie making, documentaries, and even personal stories

I am more than excited to see our next generations of students here in hawaii helped to be launched with exciting opportunities, life changing experiences, and big picture vision for their lives and the nations!

*Australia in August Missions Trip 2014

Also in August we will be doing a three week missions trip with our young adults from New Hope Maui partnering with Central Christian Church and the Christian Central Church schools outreach team.
We will be going into the public schools doing a presentations and assemblies building a bridge form public schools to church.  We are looking at reaching at least 500+ students a week.
We will spend one full week entering school after school and doing our presentation and program while inviting youth in their school to participate in church on sunday where we will be helping to connect youth and families here to the local body of Christ.
The other part of our mission here in Newcastle Australia will be helping to structure a leadership team and develop a discipleship plan for our international university students partnering with the korean baptist church.
We will be meeting, teaching, and discipling university student leaders on how to run an effective small group, read and study the scriptures, and how to present, articulate, and communicate their faith in Christ.
Our goal is to empower and implant to these university students giving them tools to share the gospel with not only their university but to their respecting countries as well.
I am highly anticipating this trip.  And looking forward to seeing many come to know and connect with God on a personal and corporate level.  I am so blessed to be working with Christian Central Church and the Korean Baptist Church of Newcastle.
We have a very special team made up of people who are from and born on Maui.  We want to show people from Hawaii that they can go out and make an impact for God throughout the nations!

-July 17 7PM at the Oasis in Waiehu is our FUNDRAISER NIGHT!   Please come if you can, there will be entertainment, deserts, and fun!
